Mission Statement

The Clear View Alliance, Inc. is a non-profit formed to raise awareness and work to minimize unintended impacts from the construction of wind transmission lines.

Clear View Alliance (CVA) is working diligently to protect the Texas Hill Country from being forever scarred by an industrial complex of extra-high voltage transmission lines. We are bound by our love of the Hill Country and our commitment to preserve this natural treasure for future generations.

Members of CVA have been working to protect our natural resources, our tourist-attracting views and our land-based economy. We continue to work in the best interest of the Hill Country and offer three practical considerations in siting the lines:

  1. Site transmission lines along existing utility rights-of-way and highways rather than hacking corridors through pristine wilderness and ranch land
  2. Use monopoles instead of giant industrial lattice towers to minimize the visual impact on our scenic vistas
  3. Justly compensate affected landowners, and apply the power of eminent domain to take land only when it is absolutely necessary

We’ve already made an enormous impact. CVA is the largest grassroots landowner group to ever intervene at the Public Utility Commission (PUC).

Volunteers are using every ounce of energy they have to continue representation at the hearings, increase public awareness and inform our leaders about the facts and better options for placement of these transmission lines. We invite you to get involved. Watch the videos offered on our Home Page, send a message to the PUC and your representative, and send the link to your friends.
